DAYTONA BEACH, FL (July 22, 2010) - Daytona State College’s Interior Design program will launch a new kitchen and bath specialization beginning this fall semester, which begins Aug. 30.
The program emphasizes the principles and elements of kitchen and bath design, including how to select appropriate materials; choosing color, equipment and finishes; lighting; estimating; and sustainable design. The program also covers barrier-free design and advanced space planning skills. All courses are taught by experienced, licensed and practicing interior design professionals.
The Kitchen and Bath Specialization is a certificate program that can be applied toward the Associate of Applied Science or the Associate of Science degree in Interior Design Technology, as well as the Associate of Applied Science in Architectural and Building Technology.
