DAYTONA BEACH, FL (Feb. 9, 2010) - The Center for Business and Industry at Daytona State College, announces a series of one-day Access 2007 courses from basic through programming level.
Access 2007, Basic - this course covers the basic functions and features of Access 2007. Students will learn how to design and create databases; work with tables, fields, and records; sort and filter data; and create queries, forms, and reports. This course is scheduled to be held first on the Daytona Beach Campus, Wednesday, March 3; and then on the DeLand Campus, Thursday, March 11.
Access 2007, Intermediate - this course builds on the skills and concepts taught in Access 2007: Basic. Students will learn how to normalize data; work with Lookup fields and sub-datasheets; create join queries; add objects to forms, print reports and labels; create charts; and use PivotTables and PivotCharts. This course is scheduled to be held first on the Daytona Beach Campus, Wednesday, April 21; and then on the DeLand Campus, Thursday, April 29.
Access 2007, Advanced - this course builds on the skills and concepts taught in Access 2007: Intermediate. Students will learn how to query with SQL; create crosstab, parameter, and action queries; create macros; import, export, and link database objects; work with XML documents; work with Windows SharePoint Services; optimize databases; password-protect and encrypt databases; set Access options and properties; create hyperlink fields; and use Outlook 2007 to update data. This course is scheduled to be held on the Daytona Beach Campus, Wednesday, May 5.
Access 2007, VBA Programming - this course builds on the skills and concepts taught in Access 2007: Advanced. This course is designed for experienced Access users who want to learn ActiveX data objects, control structures, and the basics of VBA programming. This course is scheduled to be held on the Daytona Beach Campus, Wednesday, May 19.
Each one-day course begins promptly at 8:30 a.m. and continues through to 4:30 p.m. with a one-hour break for lunch. The Daytona Beach Campus is located at 1200 W. International Speedway Blvd., the DeLand Campus is located at 1155 County Road 4139.
The deadline to register for each course is one week prior to the course date. Courses fill quickly! The fee for each course is $95 and includes a student workbook with a CD-ROM containing the lab files used in class. These are ‘hands-on’ courses and each participant will have their own computer. Courses may be canceled due to a lack of enrollment.
