Daytona State Recycles Logo

Please help keep our Daytona State College campuses green by *recycling in your offices and classrooms. Look out for the different types of recycle bins we currently have on campus as shown below. As well as the items shown below, we also recycle many other items.

Join the Daytona State Environmental Club if you would like to become more involved.  Faculty & Staff are welcome too!

Recycle Aluminum Cans, Glass and Plastic Bottles

green arrow  Plastic/Glass Bottles & Aluminum Cans

We have many of the Volusia County, small, green recycle bins all over campus.  Please put your glass and plastic bottles and aluminum cans in these.  It is very important NOT to put any other kinds of trash in these bins as it makes it very hard for our custodial team to be able to properly sort and use the real recyclables.

White Paper Recycle

These 'white paper' bins have been provided to many offices all over campus.  Again, only white paper and NO trash thank you.

Paper & Cardboard Recycle

If you don't have a bottle recycle bin, or a paper recycle bin in your office, then you can make one!  Just use any bin you like, and clearly mark it for paper & cardboard.  You can also make one for bottles and cans too, again, just make sure it is clearly marked and that no other trash gets thrown in there. You can also send paper to the copy center to be made into scratch pads.

*We are currently looking at ways to fund the purchase of full size, and very visible recycle bins.  We will be implementing some of these at key points around campus over the next couple of months so will keep you updated about that as at happens.
