Daytona State College’s Office of Governmental Relations promotes the interests of the college as well as the interests of its students, faculty and administration. Advancing Daytona State College’s teaching, training and service missions at the state and federal levels is the office’s primary goal.
While the legislature makes the law, decisions often reflect policy made by the executive branch, notably the Governor and the Florida Department of Education. Equally important are decisions made at the federal level affect - think financial aid and federal grants.
