The TEAS is required of all Daytona State College Nursing Program applicants. The TEAS test is a timed, computerized exam and takes approximately 3 hours and 29 minutes. Examinee must plan on being in Assessment Services for 4 hours to complete the TEAS process. The TEAS is given in Assessment Services on the Daytona Beach, DeLand, Deltona, South and Flagler Campuses. There is a $40 fee for the TEAS, payable prior to testing.
Retesting to achieve passing scores:
After meeting with an Academic Advisor, students will be referred to the Academic Support Center for remediation. Upon satisfactory completion of VP (Vocational Preparatory Instruction), students will be allowed to re-test. The VPI pass requires a minimum wait of 48 hours before retesting. All subsequent TEAS retest are allowed after a 30 day wait. Students who wish to retest on the TEAS will be allowed to do so however, they must pay the $40 fee each time.
